Tony Heselev's story

My family and I have just returned from another fascinating trip to your wonderful country. As usual, we were delighted by the hospitality and friendliness of the fine people of Sri Lanka. But this time, we have a special reason to be thankful. As we travelled by train from Ella, our 14-year-old daughter (Rosie) took many pictures of the stunning views of the surrounding hill country. But when we got off, at Nawalapitiya, we discovered that she had left the camera on the train.

Thanks to Penny Stork, a very determined friend and interpreter, we discovered that the camera had been handed in anonymously to railway staff at the next station. Whoever you are, we want to thank you for your kindness and wish you every happiness and success. Rosie was especially relieved, and we are all very grateful to have a complete pictorial record of our travels.
